This nursery is set in the green outskirts of Edinburgh and offers different rooms for each age group, full of exciting resources to spark your child’s natural curiosity. Outside, children enjoy learning about nature and developing their motor skills and balance on tricycles and climbing frames. They also take the children on regular trips in the local community where they can spot wildlife and learn in natural environments. This includes outings to the park, beach and woodlands. The nursery in Cramond is located close to local bus routes. *What you’ll be doing* * Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education * Ensure the learning environment provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities for the children, across both the indoor and outdoor areas * Deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, to help all children to develop and meet their individual milestones * Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and/or carers, as well as other professionals, to meet the individual needs of each child * Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all times * Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment on a day to day basis *What we’re looking for* * Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification * Previous experience working within an Early Years setting (ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar) * Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage * Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children * Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents * Ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults * This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
